How to Install Wireshark 2.2.7 in Ubuntu:

The official Wireshark stable PPA does not update for the new release at the moment of writing this tutorial.

However, you can add the repository by opening terminal via Ctrl+Alt+T and running command:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:wireshark-dev/stable

Input your password (no visual feedback) when it prompts and hit Enter.

After that, once the PPA updated with the new Wireshark packages, you’ll receive the updates via Software Updater, along with other system updates.
