UKUI is the default lightweight desktop environment for Ubuntu Kylin. It provides a simpler and more enjoyable experience for browsing, searching, and managing your computer.

UKUI is developed by Ubuntu Kylin, an official Ubuntu flavor for Chinese. The desktop is forked from the MATE desktop (itself a fork from GNOME2) and will be default in Ubuntu Kylin 17.04.
