Claws Mail, the fast, lightweight, and GTK+ based email client has reached the 3.14.1 release one day ago with some new features, various fixes, and translation updates.
Claws Mail 3.14.1 brings two new hidden preferences: ‘hide_timezone’ and ‘rewrite_first_from’. While the first one is to set the timezone of date fields sent over the network to the unknown timezone value as specified in RFC 5322 §3.3., the second one is designed as a workaround for a limitation of various mail servers with ‘overly-liberal parsers’.
Other changes in Claws Mail 3.14.1:
- Templates: it is now possible to attach a file, using ‘|attach_output{sub_expr}’ or ‘|A{sub_expr}’
- Disable hiding threads and messages in draft folders.
- a green folder icon will now indicate IMAP mailboxes that display only subscribed folders
- Message-ID will no longer be added to drafted messages.
- Adds notification support for Ubuntu’s Unity Messaging Menu
- And more at the news page.
